Once upon a time in a faraway land called Ithaca, a cute guy asked a shy girl to go out for Mexican.  The burritos were magical and bound them together in love for eternity. They graduated from a little school perched high on a hill and then ran off to California to design gardens and campuses and even whole towns.  The shy girl was very, very patient and waited for SEVEN years for the cute boy to propose.  He did (phew!) and they had a fabulous wedding on the bluffs of the Mendocino Coast.  All the kings and queens and dukes and knights from far off lands attended the joyous celebration.  Three years later they had a beautiful, happy, little baby alien named Desmond.  He became the center of their universe and this blog is pretty much aaaaalll about Desmond.  But we think you won’t mind since he happens to be so gosh darn cute.
