It was one of those “I can’t bare to correct him” times: we walked by a complete stranger in the park the other day and he said “Happy Thankyousgiving!!”
Totally going to let that one go as long as he wants to say it.
And what a grand thank-you day it was. Our good friends Addi and Lauren came over with their beautiful girls, Evie and Alice. Desmond was ecstatic to have some playmates since we’d been ignoring him all day as we cooked our meal. I made my very first turkey (no picture – but it looked nice, and tasted alright), pumpkin pie, and cranberry sauce. Justin made eggplant parm, stuffing, and sweet potatoes. The Addicotts brought green beans, wine, and apple pie. Deeeeelicious! We stuffed ourselves, and then let the kids play while we digested and visited.
The rest of the weekend was lazy, and lovely family time. Walks in the park, hikes around town, and lots of time at home just being thankful to be together.
Happy Thanksgiving!
